Makeup School in Florida
With world-famous beaches and a wide array of shops and restaurants in the area, there is plenty to do when you aren ‘t busy in classes. Students who are looking for a Miami makeup school, find Fort Lauderdale the perfect place. The Fort Lauderdale beach is 3 miles from the school; many hotels are near. Master makeup artistry Pro
This is our longest, most comprehensive program for students who want to be well-rounded, train in every media, and work both as a makeup and special effects artist with no restrictions. Most states have licensing requirements for freelance makeup artists, and many retail cosmetic companies only hire licensed artists. Master Pro graduates are licensed by the Florida Board of Cosmetology and prepared for entry-level employment in the cosmetic, fashion, film, TV, bridal, salon/spa, theatrical and entertainment industries.

Master makeup artistry
For individuals who already have a Cosmetology or Skin Care license or do not want to be licensed to work as a freelance makeup artist, the Master program is the same curriculum as the Master Pro minus the Skin Care module.

This program is for students who wish to be versatile and skilled in all areas of artistry to work in the cosmetic, fashion, bridal, salon/spa, film, television, theatrical and entertainment industries. It has every component of the Master Program except for the Special FX makeup module.

fashion makeup artistry
This program teaches the specialized skills needed to work in the beauty industry doing makeup for weddings and special events or working with models, photographers, and designers in the fashion industry doing print advertising, catalogs, editorial, and runway shows.

This program covers the knowledge and procedures needed to run a successful skin care business. It also satisfies the licensing requirements for freelance makeup artists practicing in Florida. A $75 license application fee is not included in tuition, students are responsible for the fee.

Individual Class Schedule
If you have a time or a budgetary restraint, Cosmix offers students the option to take individual makeup courses instead of a complete program. If you work in a related field and you want to focus on a particular area of expertise, you may choose to expand your knowledge one course at a time. Some classes have pre-requisites.
Please be advised that individual courses taken on a stand-alone basis are not accredited by ACCSC. In addition, students taking stand-alone courses are not eligible for the career services that are offered to students and graduates of larger programs.
If you are already in a related career like skin care or hair styling and you want to add makeup services, we recommend the BEAUTY MAKEUP MODULE. The Beauty Makeup Module is 175 clock hours and consists of 3 courses:

Prosthetics & Creature Design
300 hours

This class teaches students the design and creation of realistic prosthetic & dental appliances for anyone wanting to do special makeup effects. After students master sculpting, molding, and application techniques, they go on to creating their own creature. Material Fees pay for a set of sculpting tools and classroom materials.
